Be A Personal Trainer
By Jayme Hanson
You now know that regular physical activity and exercise can help you avoid preventable diseases and add to both the quality and length of your life. Good fitness programs are designed to improve or maintain cardiorespiratory fitness, flexibility, muscular strength and endurance, and body composition. When considering the convenience of a home gym versus the variety of going to a commercial gym, there are many factors to weigh in this decision. Personal Trainer: By choosing wisely you will be able to form a connection with a personal trainer that can provide guidance, motivation and results. A personal trainer knows that while guys may want to 'bulk up'; a girl might want to slim down. Gym Etiquette: Shower regularly and please remember to wear deodorant, if not for yourself, for those around you.

Giving out unsolicited advice will simply bruise the other person's ego and might not be viewed as helpful. 24 Hour Fitness: Often times, with good intentions, we plan on getting up extra early on Saturday to take that run or get some exercise in, however, we fail to realize just how tired we are and likely never make it out of bed that early. Joining a gym that is open 24 hours a day allows you to workout whenever! You can train anytime, day or night. Gyms and health clubs can be a fantastic motivator to exercise. Some gyms may offer discounts for long term memberships, so know what you're signing! If you sign up for a 36 month contract, you'll be held to it, even if you stop going. Ask your friends or coach for advice when choosing a gym, but remember that not every gym is right for every person.
